What Do Real People Think About Google
Many people, like me, who spend a good portion of their time working on getting their websites to rank well in Google, feel that Google is really starting to get a little crazy. Nothing that they do these days seems to make any sense. Looking past the SEO world and their efforts, it seems to me that the search results that Google provides these days are relly not very good. I am sure that many of you are saying, “I think Google’s results are great.” Ok, then let’s hear from you. I am really curious what everyone thinks. My personal opinion is that Google is not providing a high quality user experience any more. I am not sure what they have been tweaking or smoking for that matter. It seems to me that all of the changes we have seen recently have not made the SERPs better…rather it appears that they have made them less relevant. For the record, I am not basing this on any of my sites’ rankings, I am basing this on common searches that I make and have made for a long time. The results have been slowly deteriorating and now I find that I don’t even click on one link on the first page of results for some queries. I think maybe I am too close.
So, I am really wondering what real people think. Not people who spend their day tweaking their websites. People who use their computers every day, but have no idea what SEO means.
