The Blog and Ping
I have a pretty good regimen worked out that appears to work very well getting things to rank in Yahoo! and MSN, I like to call it the Blog and Ping. Basically, I will blog using Blogger.com’s interface or one of the WordPad blogs we have, then use Pingomatic’s service to “ping” many of the top RSS feed aggregators, including Yahoo!. This basically let’s them know that the blog has been updated and they will then usually update their database with our lastest post via RSS/XML. So, if you are already blogging, get on over to Pingomatic, fill out the form and submit your blog to the RSS aggregators, then bookmark the results page and load that every time you update your blog. Voila, it is that easy.
