I Want My Yahoo API!
We all know people have been asking about a Yahoo! API for some time now, but now that Yahoo! appears to have a search algo that works at driving traffic, and they are introducing just about every useful search feature that Google has (image search, RSS, etc), why not give us an API already. There are a gazillion uses for an API that come to mind to work with all kinds of services that Yahoo! currently offers. How about the ability to interface with your Yahoo! Mail address book, or your inbox? How about being able to search Yahoo! Search results via an API, like you have been able to do with Google for some time now? Stock and mutual fund information, Yahoo! Shopping interfaces, the list goes on and on.
So, Yahoo! are you listening? How about that API already?
