Host Rank?
Just read an article about what some might call Host Rank. In a nutshell, the author is proposing that the old Page Rank system is dead and that a new system which calculates a “Rank” for the host/domain and an internal page rank for each domain called Local Rank. This is used to help speed the page weight calculations for all pages on the web and probably to help keep spamming by new sites out of some of the results pages. I am not sure I can say I believe everything this article talks about (especially his/her assessment of how PR is/was calculated), but I think there are some good suggestions and interesting food for thought.
