Google’s Matt Cutts - More Flux on the Way
I was just getting around to reading the search blogs for today and I noticed this post on the blog of Matt Cutts, Googler. Matt said that the current update that has smashed so many sites is still rolling out and there will most likely be some more changes over the next two weeks. This might be good and bad news for those negatively affected by the current update. I have seen some quirky things that I am going to wait and see what happens before I comment on them publicly, but suffice it to say that big things are up. My guess is that Google has beefed up their linking algo significantly and has included some filtering to give them much greater control over the weight and classification of links (ie: forum sig links, footer links, links inside of text, etc). Stay tuned.
