Page Link Architecture
To touch on what I posted a few days ago about “Too many links,” it looks like the site in question is going to be dead soon. G stopped sending the bot yesterday to look at pages. The pages now in the index are 50% supplemental and the rest have just the link listed….what normally happens before a site goes bye bye. It appears that the site had too many links on every page of the site, making it appear to be artificially boosting internal link popularity. I am guessing here, just like anyone else. But, when all was said and done, most of the pages on the site had 200+ internal links on them. There were very few pages that didn’t. So, I am not trying to say that 200 links on a page will get you banned, but 200 links on 50k+ pages may.
